Dr. Kristen Hook, an experienced dermatologist practicing at Dermatology Specialists in Minneapolis-St. Paul, has been recognized as a Top Doctor in MN Monthly Magazine nine times. This recognition is a testament to her expertise and credibility. From 2010-2019, she served as the founding director of the Division of Pediatric Dermatology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Hook completed her undergraduate and medical doctorate at the University of Iowa, followed by residencies in Dermatology and Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, where she also served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. Additionally, Dr. Hook completed a research fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Children’s Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University and a clinical pediatric dermatology fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.
Her clinical interests include general pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and laser treatment. She has been a significant figure in the dermatological community, serving as the president of the Minnesota Dermatological Society. Dr. Hook’s leadership and influence extend to her Associate Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics role at the University of Minnesota. Outside of her professional career, she loves spending time with her husband and four boys.
