Stephen Samuel, MD, MPH

Board-Certified Hematopathologist

Dr. Stephen Samuel is board certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, Cytopathology, and Hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston Medical School, he completed his anatomical and clinical pathology residency training from Texas A&M Health Science Center – Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. He then pursued additional subspecialty training with a Hematopathology fellowship at Texas A&M Health Science Center – Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital (Temple, TX), followed by a Cytopathology fellowship at The MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Dr. Samuel grew up in the greater Houston area and completed his undergraduate education with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Baylor University (Waco, TX). He then furthered his studies, earning a Master of Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health.

Sagis is pleased to welcome Dr. Samuel to our renowned team of Pathologists. Dr. Samuel has extensive professional experience as a full-service hospital-based pathologist since he joined Tejas Pathology Associates (Tomball, TX) in 2012. He has continued to provide medical service excellence and currently serves as the President of Tejas Pathology Associates.

When he is not at work, he enjoys exploring Houston’s culinary scene and traveling across the U.S. and internationally with his lovely wife of over fifteen years and their three children.
