Dr. Ghassan Tranesh is a board-certified pathologist with subspecialty certifications in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Cytopathology, and Dermatopathology (EUMS-ISDP).

He earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Zawia and went on to obtain a Master of Science in Molecular Pathology from The Ohio State University. He completed rigorous training in pathology through residency at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, followed by prestigious fellowships in Surgical Pathology at the Mayo Clinic and Cytopathology at the University of California San Diego.

Dr. Tranesh has established diagnostic expertise across a broad range of subspecialties, including head and neck, breast, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, soft tissue, and skin pathology. Known for his precision and depth of knowledge, he contributes to complex diagnostic evaluations and multidisciplinary care.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tranesh is passionately committed to global medical education. He serves as a visiting professor for multiple Libyan medical schools, where he mentors future generations of physicians and pathologists.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, reading novels, and playing chess. He is a proud father of three boys and shares his love for pathology with his wife, who is also a pathologist.
