Dr. Peter A. Lio is a board-certified Dermatologist, a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Additionally, he is a distinguished Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed his pediatrics internship at Boston Children’s Hospital, and finished his dermatology residency at Harvard, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Lio has formal training in acupuncture from Harvard.

He is the founding director of the Chicago Integrative Eczema Center and has spoken internationally on eczema, atopic dermatitis, and integrative medicine. Dr. Lio has over 200 publications and three textbooks and has earned several accolades, including the American Academy of Dermatology’s Leader of Distinction Award.

Dr. Lio’s unwavering dedication to providing the highest level of patient care is a testament to his commitment to the overall well-being of patients of all ages. His clinical specialties include pediatric dermatology, eczema, acne, and inflammatory skin diseases, with a focus on integrating alternative and complementary medicine in dermatology care.
