Receptionist, Houston, TX


This is an opportunity to join a small but rapidly growing company that provides medical laboratory services. We need someone who can handle various clerical duties and administrative duties in our laboratory/office in a professional, knowledgeable, and reliable manner.


  • Answer and direct phone calls

  • Organize and schedule appointments

  • Enter data in the office management system

  • Package supplies for clients 

  • Organize documents by numerical and alphabetical order

  • Aid in general front desk tasks and duties as needed

  • Greet visitors in a professional manner and provide general support to visitors

  • Liaise with senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers

  • Handle multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously

  • Maintain an organized work area

  • Work independently and solve problems, but also know limitations and ask questions when in doubt about something

  • Receive, send, and distribute mails and packages as needed

  • Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks


  • High-school or equivalent

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in medical office preferred

  • Pathology laboratory experience preferred.


  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.


  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, file, sit for extended periods of time, reach, twist, push, pull, and lift office supplies up to 20 pounds without assistance. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
