Special Screening of the Short Film on the Extensive Emotional Impact of Skin Disease, A Children’s House for the Soul (ACHFTS) is excited to announce the New York premiere of a new short film featuring many of the non-profit’s families entitled “I Was Made A Masterpiece.” Created by Rick Guidotti of Positive Exposure Gallery alongside the production team of Vacant Light, the short film is intended to educate current and future medical professionals, educators, students and ultimately the greater community on the deep emotional impact of skin disease.
Dr. Alanna Bree, a pediatric dermatologist and founder of ACHFTS, created the organization specifically to focus on the emotional gap in the care of children with skin conditions and birthmarks. “My hope for this film is not only to educate the community on what these families’ challenges are, but to also give our kids the chance to feel like the masterpieces they are!
Sagis has been an ongoing supporter of A Children’s House for the Soul’s empowering initiatives, giving voice to those with a life-learning story to tell. We help raise awareness and raise funds to support those confronting skin disease and trauma by telling their stories and becoming part of their support community.
The event will premiere in New York City during Happy Hour, and it will also include a Fashion “Show and Tell” featuring three of the starts in the film. To RSVP, email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
